Philosophy The best form of sustainability is Thinking!

Philosophy

BLAUSTUDIO was founded by Dr.-Ing. Heide Schuster in 2013. The firm is still young – the experience of the founder isn’t. She has long term expert knowledge in sustainable urban design as well as sustainable building design, in research as well as in planning and realisation of projects worldwide.

Aim of the office is to think and realise sustainable projects and to support investors and owners as well as project teams with substantial knowledge.

Especially the early urban and architectural design stage provides the full potential for sustainable and energy saving projects. With early measures later cost intensive changes and high operation costs can be avoided.

Sustainable thinking in early stages therefore is part of the basic concept at BLAUSTUDIO.

Nowadays planning tasks are complex. Each decision will provoke a number of interactions. A holistic view on the project tasks and aim of each project will therefore support the usability and economy on a long term basis.

Interdisciplinary and intercultural teamwork as well as a full life cycle approach are building the foundation of our work. This allows successful planning and building within different cultures and climatic zonzes.

Natural daylighting is only one resource which – through careful planning strategies – can not only save energy and costs but also supports comfort and productivity of users.

According to the project typology, location and task, we use different natural resources and renewable energies to be integrated in the concept.

Sustainability in the built environment also means to respect the local speciality. Global thinking but local realising, that is the idea of BLAUSTUDIO.

Apart from the analysis of the local framework also the use of the local resources will be included. Promoting local identity and special needs leed to successful projects. This is our goal.

To review measures and to evaluate their impact within a project there is a need for communication and comparative analysis. This can be done through recognised certification systems for urban districts or buildings. But also single aspects can be evaluated and classified acccording to relevant sustainability parameters.

You as client will gain transparent and comprehensible results supporting your decision with the best background possible.
